Give up your sins and come unto Christ

Hello all of my favorite people!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I have had so many blessings this past week and I can't even start to explain how grateful I am for how the lord has blessed me. So first off, I thank you all for your prayers and I have definitely felt the love from back home. So first off, I have had the amazing opportunity of going to the assisted living homes and helping them with their family history. I really enjoyed that and I could really feel the spirit that day, I honestly hope that I can do that again because the spirit that they brought was amazing and I know that he was helping me find more information about their ancestors. Secondly, the scriptures are beginning to open up more and I'm gathering a better understanding of them. I really like it because, as you know I'm not the best reader, but as I read the scriptures more, I've been more and more intrigued by all the lessons that I can learn from the teachings of the prophets of old. I'm really enjoying the lessons that we are being blessed with that are being taught by the other young elders. I hope that I can teach at least one lesson soon because I would like to teach from my point of view on the topics that we are given. But over all, the lessons and the Sunday lessons have all been really great and I have been doing my best to learn all that I can from everything that I'm taught here on the mission.

Also another thing. So today as we went shopping I got only the things that I needed for the week. We were up to pay and the lady who was paying before us totally paid for our groceries. I honestly couldn't believe it. She totally didn't have to but I can't believe that she did it. I can't even express how grateful I am about it. But I can't even begin to count all the blessings that I have been blessed with on the mission and I hope that I can continue to do the lords work on this mission and I hope that I can learn to have a deeper understanding of the gospel and have a greater testimony than I did before.

Great news!!! I'm actually doing my zone duties instead of not doing them at all because we were loaned to another zone doing absolutely nothing. So I'm actually doing something now and I'm not totally bored anymore. I'm busy and I feel like I'm doing a difference now.
But personally I've been all over the place emotionally. I've been down and up and in every other direction. I've been doing the best I can to push through the hard days and I've been doing great on the really good days. I've been getting help from some of the other elders here on the mission and I've been trying to get myself out of the hard spots but you can't do everything alone and every now and again you always need some help.

Now for my spiritual thought.
I've been reading from 2nd Nephi lately and I've been thinking a lot about all that he teaches. So in the beginning of the book he talks from Isaiah and from what he teaches. One thing that is talked about from the entire book is giving up your sins and coming unto the lord. Being exalted from following Christ's example, and The Lord fulfilling the covenant with the house of Israel. I really started to think about what I'm doing to better build up his kingdom and what example in public I'm making which I've been doing better at. I've been trying to better help people and I've been trying to become a better person as I continue to be out on the mission with all the other elders on the mission and I challenge all of you to think about the example that all of you are setting try to improve in those area's to become a better disciple of Christ.

I hope all of you are having the BEST DAY EVER and I can't wait to share more information with all of you soon.

All of you are amazing and I love all of you very much!

Pray for Help

WELL HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This past week has kinda been all over the place. Mostly good though. I'm still doing a lot of training but I've already gotten the base training done and now I can help patrons now when I get assigned to one. I'm going to finish all the training because of the possibility of getting transferred there eventually and having to get the training done at some point. Elder Wright and I had meetings with president that went really well actually. He was just asking how my new zone is and wondering if I have seen any change that I have come to realize in my own life and my testimony and my doctrinal understanding. But I also brought to his attention that I may be Library services but I'm working as if I'm in U.S. and Canada. but oh well, apparently he didn't even know what was going on and he doesn't know how that came to be and that he was going to do all he could to fix it so that I can actually be in the zone that I have been assigned to. My companion and I are growing together more and more each day. We may have our differences but we are still great friends. The other members in my district are amazing and we are all into the same things from back home except a few things but we mostly understand each other. We are all trying to make at least one meal a week so that we can all try and save a little bit of money as a whole. But all in all the day has actually been pretty dull. Nothing too major actually happened this week. Just a normal week at zone and as a group we had a ton of fun. One thing I almost forgot to mention, We have been getting a ton of Snow up here starting Saturday Night. We have had a ton of Snowball fights and just made the most of every moment that we get.

Now for my spiritual thought this week I'm coming from 2 Nephi. In the beginning chapters of this book a whole lot happens to Nephi and his brothers and family. First Lehi dies and he gives his blessings among his posterity, secondly Nephi cries unto the Lord because of the anger his brothers have and he is asking the Lord for assistance to help him overcome the trial that he is going through right now. and I think that we all need to pray to the lord more often than we actually think we do. We all have those moments in our days or our lives that we think that we can power through when the task is hard and we think that all is lost and that the lord has forgotten us. But in reality the lord is wanting to help you but he is waiting for you to pray and ask for his help in order to help you. Sometimes we need to realize that our capacity to do things would be better and it would be easier for us and the hard things wouldn't be so hard to do if only we would ask. He has countless blessings that he is waiting to give you but he can't because you need to humble yourselves and yield to the enticing of the Holy Spirit. Only then will he help, you and only then will all the blessings that he is wanting and waiting to help you.

Well I hope that you all have a fabtabulous week, and I'm sorry that this week wasn't as long as most but mostly nothing happened to be honest with all of you. make the most of every moment of every day and help those in need around you. Try to be more observant of those around you. Turn outward instead of inward, turning outward heals the soul when turning inward helps and heals your own mind.
Love you all and Stay Beefy!

The Lord is Blessing Me

This past week has really been all over the place. All of last week I was in training for my new zone, which is great....not really. But If  I get all the training done I can get a fancy pin to put on my suit or my lanyard but I prefer lanyard so then I don't forget to take it off because in an earlier night class we were asked to not wear any pins on our suits out of the specific zone. Same with the lanyards we are given at the FHL. I already really like my zone leader, he's a super awesome guy, super chill and loves all his elders, and secondly he gave Elder Jensen a Red Lanyard which apparently they don't use anymore. But he later ended up giving that to me which is really cool. But other than that I'm still getting used to the new zone. I really liked my old zone and everyone there. One person I used to work with was Elise, I loved her. She is super cool and we got along really well. She had a T-Shirt idea that she wanted done and I was the one who actually got it designed and she loved it. She took it up to the boss of the CHL after I left. She later left a letter on the doorstep of my new apartment and she had the "Ask Us" Pin which is only given to a very select few employees and said something along the lines of you were moved out of the zone way too fast and I hope you can come back, and that the pin is to tide me over till the T-Shirt that she is also going to give me if it get's approved.

New District: Well, Seeing that I got put into a zone of a lot of people that I really enjoy is AWESOME. I will say a few things though, none of them really know how to clean so mom I'm saying a HUGE THANK YOU to you for teaching me how to clean properly and now I'm a snob about cleaning and I can't stand seeing the apartment dirty. I've learned the value of cleaning because if I didn't we wouldn't have a clean apartment and it would be really nasty. But I have been talking to them about how much easier it would be and how much cleaner it would be if they helped and they are slowly getting better day after day as I continue to talk to them. But anywho..... other than that my whole apartment and floor is just a good one. I now have Elder Allison and Walker literally next door and we've hung out a few evenings so far. I love them and I love talking to them. All is well in the new apartment and the best part is, I'm not in a basement anymore and I'm on the top floor which is great because I have a balcony and I actually have a nice view of the temple now.

Spiritual thought: This past week has been all over the place and I can't seem to help but see the Lords hand in all the things that have been happening to me lately. I have seen his many blessings in keeping me safe and making sure that I'm being happy and I have been really happy too. I haven't really been depressed or sad and I know that it's the Lord helping me forward and showing his love and mercy upon me. He has definitely been answering my prayers and has been helping me better effectively study the scriptures more because I've been gathering a better understanding and have been finding a whole lot more meaning to the scriptures and verses that people tend to look over because they don't think they hold a special meaning there or any doctrine worth looking at but I can tell you now that every verse of scripture has a special meaning in the book of mormon and that's my challenge to all of you now. We may look over some verses in the book thinking that they are just a filler for a spot on the page when really those are some of the versus that Satan is trying to make you look over because they will help you understand more and they will help you better understand the gospel. Now I know it may sound funny but I promise that if you take a better and a more careful study to the scriptures you will find a lot more meaning to the gospel.

I hope you all will have a fabtabulous week and make the most of every moment. Remember "that your body is a Tabernacle to the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost will not dwell in an unclean Tabernacle." LeGrand Richards.
Stay Fabtabulous and as always, Stay Beefy!
Love you all!!!!!
