Nothing much changed

Well hello, all of you Fabtabulous people!!! So Transfers happened and I wasn't affected by it. Everything stayed the same for me. I still have E. Gorman as a companion and I still have the same apartment (Thankfully I haven't moved...moving isn't fun) I'm still in Family History Library Services going on 9 months in my current zone and 2 months with my current companion. I'm doing what I can to continue forward and continuing to make the most of every situation. I'm gonna be honest though...it's not the easiest thing in the world. Not every day is super happy and it's not always a day where you want to be happy. But as long as we put our trust in the Lord and we continue forward, even when it's hard, he will help us.

Spiritual Thought: My Spiritual Thought this week is going to be coming from D&C 5:21-22
21 And now I command you, my servant Joseph, to repent and walk more uprightly before me, and to yield to the persuasions of men no more;
22 And that you be firm in keeping the commandments wherewith I have commanded you; and if you do this, behold I grant unto you eternal life even if you should be slain.

To me, I put myself in the shoes of Joseph Smith in these verses. We all can do better, the prophet has told us every day to repent. That's one way that we can come closer to Christ. Doing better means better aligning our will with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that we can all do this and I know that it is possible to become more like Christ. I know these things and I leave them with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you will have a Fabtabulous Day and Week!
Make the Most of every moment of every day.
Y'all are Great! Love y'all so much!

Stay Foxy!

New week. . . . . Transfers next week. . . .already?

Hello, all of you Fabtabulous people!
This week has been a slower week than most of my weeks.
My zone is boring as usual and nothing new...I wish that I could report something new but nothing really ever happens. I have been reading a lot from the Scriptures and been turning to them for peace and comfort and I truly have received those things that I have asked for and looked for. The Spirit has been a true teacher to me and I am so grateful for having some questions that I have been seeking answers to, answered. Also, this peace comes over me and help put my mind at ease and allowed me to better focus on things that are of God and things that bring Light, Peace, and Joy.

I know that was kind of all over the place but don't worry...you don't have to pay attention to my rambling for much longer.

Spiritual Thought: My spiritual thought this week is going to be coming from Hel 15:7-8
And behold, ye do know of yourselves, for ye have witnessed it, that as many of them as are brought to the knowledge of the truth, and to know of the wicked and abominable traditions of their fathers, and are led to believe the holy scriptures, yea, the prophecies of the holy prophets, which are written, which leadeth them to faith on the Lord, and unto repentance, which faith and repentance bringeth a change of heart unto them—
Therefore, as many as have come to this, ye know of yourselves are firm and steadfast in the faith, and in the thing wherewith, they have been made free.
Now I really took a lot of Joy in this Scripture. It really allows me to take joy from living the Gospel. For Samuel the Lamanite says it the best in verse 8....the Gospel really does make us free and to quote the Living Christ "His way is the Path that Leads to Happiness in this Life and Eternal Life in the world to come" (Thanks Mom and Dad for having me memorize that) It's so true though. Following the path of Righteousness and the and holding fast to the Iron Rod is the only way that we can have enduring happiness, enduring joy, and where we can take peace and comfort in where we stand as we make everywhere we go...a Holy Place and a firm place where our testimony can ring true. I know these things to be true and I know that there is but one way back to live with our Heavenly Parents and that is to follow Jesus Christ the ultimate example, I know these things to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week and make the most out of every moment of every day!
I love you all and hope that you can have a Fabtabulous Week!

Pretty good week

Hello all of you Fabtabulous people, this week has been pretty exciting in the sense of being pretty chill. We throw a foam dart most the time because we're bored and we made a little game out of it. My scripture reading has been really good, especially with the "Come Follow Me" being the Book of Mormon. It's quite a blessing to have that be our point of focus this year. Plus, with this upcoming conference coming up being a "Special One" and it's kind of got me a little anxious to hear what's going to happen.

Mission Conference: We had a Mission Conference yesterday and it was really good! We had a lot of very spiritually inspired talks. One of the very prominent messages that I took away from it was becoming a better missionary and doing all that we can to dedicate our whole souls to the work, being "All in" instead of being wishy-washy about the work that we've been called to do. The Spirit was truly full and very abundant in the room during the Fabtabulous Conference that we had. Many lessons were taught and the spirit testified that what was being spoken was true many many times, I am truly grateful for the experience that I had.

Zone stuff is just the same old boring stuff. Nothing really exciting happens so I can't really talk about it. I shelve books and make sure that everything is in the proper place all day...and on the lower two floors (B1 and B2 in the Family History Library) No one really comes down there, there isn't any natural light down there, and it's really quiet....it's quite boring but I'm doing what I can to make the most of it and I'm trying to make it exciting....(I think it's working?????? )

Spiritual Thought: This week is going to come from Mormon 8:15-16
15 For none can have the power to bring it to light save it be given him of God; for God wills that it shall be done with an eye single to his glory, or the welfare of the ancient and long dispersed covenant people of the Lord.
16 And blessed be he that shall bring this thing to light; for it shall be brought out of darkness unto light, according to the word of God; yea, it shall be brought out of the earth, and it shall shine forth out of darkness, and come unto the knowledge of the people; and it shall be done by the power of God.

President brought this scripture up during his Book of Mormon class that we have every month. and he broke this down and helped us all see that this was about the Book of Mormon and the coming forth of it. It was so amazing! I had never thought of that before. I especially enjoyed the power that was in the phrase "It shall shine forth out of darkness, and come unto the knowledge of the people, and it shall be done by the power of God." I was like WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  But it's so true! The Book of Mormon was brought forth by the gift and power of God. for Joseph Smith said "It was not intended for the world to know the particulars of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon" The Book of Mormon has truly come and Shine forth out of the darkness and have brought so many people out of the darkness of the world and into the Light of Christ. Its power is beyond measure and the blessings and gifts that come from it are endless. It truly testifies that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know this to be true. I know that all things are done by the will of the Father. I know that he is always there for all of his children and I know that He will do all that he can to help those who truly seek after his Guidance and Love. I know this to be true, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week and do what you can to make the most out of every moment out of every day.
I love you all so very much! You're all Fabtabulous!

Pushing forward through the snow

Hello all of you amazing Fabtabulous People!!!

This week has been one of those weeks where it wasn't Spectacular...but it wasn't bad either. It was that weird in-between where it just kind of happens with a few cool things that happen in those moments where they're needed most.

We've been getting a ton of snow up here!!!
On Sunday night and Monday together we got around a foot or so of snow, and it gets so cold at night so all the slush and the water that builds up during the day all turns to ice...and then the cycle repeats. A few people are thrown off guard from the ice and slip....luckily, no one's gotten hurt yet. (To my knowledge at least). Our balcony has a ton of snow on it though...so we use it as a natural cooler! We shove our soda's in there and it's pretty great!

Other than that there hasn't really been anything exciting....well that is except for my sink being out of commission for a few days. I don't know what was put down there but every time I would turn the water on, it would start leaking from below the sink. On top of all of that...My disposal has been starting to cut out every now and again.
But luckily today the maintenance company came through and they fixed our sink. (FINALLY!)
That's about it....until I close up the email and then I will remember like 5 things....It'll be great...not

Spiritual Thought: Today I'm going to be coming from Helaman 3:35

35 Nevertheless, they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God.

This scripture really speaks to be because it really helps me know that there is a way for us to become a new person. As we continually do the things that the Lord has commanded us to do, we shall become a new person in Christ. What is required is that we do all that we can to strengthen our faith in Christ, do all the things that we were asked to do from Primary, and ask the Lord what we can do to change and become better. As we do that he will help and assist us in the matters that we need to improve if we ask and "Pray oft" I now these things to be true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you can have a Fabtabulous week!
Do all that you can to make the most out of every moment of every day!
I love all of you guys so much!
