Thanksgiving week and the 4 day break

Hello everyone! This week has been kind of a long one, to be honest. We only had zone three days out of the week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday..and we had Thursday, Friday off. Of course, today is my P-Day, so we have 4 days in a row off.

Zone was the same old boring stuff as normal, but the weekend that we've had has been really fun! My companion has a ton of games and Elder Shaw got a ton of people and just made the most of it!

Thanksgiving was once again very hard, but with the help of all the friends that I have out here, it made it easier for me and made the time go by faster! All the missionaries who didn't go traveling out to their families stayed back with us and enjoyed Thanksgiving with us. Everyone gathered at the Stake Center and we had thanksgiving...for lunch at 1:00. Which kinda made it a little weird, especially not having it in the middle of the day but Hey, it was still really good none the less. Other than that and all the games that we played not much was terribly exciting! We saw the lights on Temple Square on Friday and that was really spectacular! I always enjoy seeing the wonderful work, time, and effort that the workers put into this special time of year. It really welcomes the Spirit into my day. I don't know about all of you but that's what it does for me!. Other than that...I don't have much else.

Spiritual Thought: So my spiritual thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 29:9-10

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
10 And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember what the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me.
This scripture I was reading in my personal study just yesterday and I read this chapter and it really strengthened my faith. This is the story of Alma and what his greatest desire is to bring at least one soul unto true repentance. I was like WOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It helped me know that the one person that we can truly bring unto true repentance is ourselves! If we can bring ourselves unto repentance then we can experience that extreme Joy in our own lives and we can truly become a better instrument in the hands of the Lord! I know we can and I know that it's possible that we can do this because the Lord's Merciful arm is always outstretched towards us and through his grace and mercy all things are possible! I know this to be true in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Well all of you Fabtabulous people, I hope that you have a Fabtabulous week and try to have the Best Day Ever!
I love all of you! You're all amazing!

Nothing new but doing good

Hello, all of you amazing fabulous people! I hope that this past week has been a good one for you and I hope that everything is going well. This week has been boring once again...but luckily we were able to make it at least a little bit exciting!

Story 1: As a district...we got really bored one night! So Elder Foxworth, a member of my district, found a scripture and decided to narrate the scripture to some music. The video happens to be take #2 but the first time he did it I didn't have my camera ready and we tried to remake it. (Sorry!!!!! The second time is never as good as the first time)

Story 2: So...My mother sent me a little friend and my companion and I just look for places to put him that look funny and take a picture. I thought it was kinda funny, but I may start doing it as a joke to try to catch my companion off guard or something like that....we'll see

But other than that there really isn't much left to report!

Spiritual Thought: My spiritual thought this week is going to be from Moroni 7:6.

For behold, God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or prayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing.

Now...this one I really love! This one really teaches everyone to try to do all things with the spirit of the Lord with them, or else it's not going to be worth anything and it will all be in vain. I know it says "with real intent" but in reality, if we strive to do it with real intent, we will be doing it with the spirit of the Lord. If we strive to do it with his spirit, he will bless us and we will be in a better position to receive revelation from him. I know this to be true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Well, I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week!
You're all amazing and Fabtabulous
Love you all

Year Mark. . . . . . Already?

I'VE BEEN OUT ON MY MISSION FOR A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's kinda weird when I think about it...anyways!
Hello, all of you amazing people who are in you many various different places wherever that may be. I hope that your past week was amazing and I hope that things have been good!

This week has been a massive blessing to me and it has been so much fun! I mean, zone work isn't the greatest. Doing the same thing, day in and day out isn't always the most fun but as I've learned to rely on God and he has been able to teach me things that have taken me way too long to learn. Thankfully the Lord has been patient with me and has used this part of my mission to teach me a few things but I haven't learned everything! He has taught me some more about the Doctrine of the Book of Mormon even more, and through that, I have been able to learn some very valuable lessons from my study and from other teaching moments that I'm blessed with while on my mission!

The relationship with my companion and it is really good! We've bonded well and have a lot of sharing interests.  We take a lot of time and just talk, which allows us to be able to learn from each other in a lot of ways. Fingers crossed about transfers keeping us together!

My Project has no new updates from last week, we're still waiting for President Fenn to write a letter to send out to each individual Mission President who has served in my mission while the Elders have served.
The Mission Presidents that we are trying to contact are:
1. President Paramore
2. President Kofford
3. President Simmons
4. President Peterson
5. President Workman &
6. President Tate
Those are the other mission presidents that we are trying to contact, (President is trying) Other than that we have to wait till then! With that, there's not much else to talk about

Spiritual Thought:

My Spiritual Thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 19:35-36
35 And it came to pass that there were many that did believe in their words; and as many as did believe were baptized, and they became a righteous people, and they did establish a church among them.
36 And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name.

I read this passage recently and the thought came to mind that...The Lord is always willing to extend his arm of mercy towards us, but there's one question that we need to ask ourselves. What are we doing to make sure that "The Work of the Lord" has been commenced and is continuing to progress? What are we doing in our daily lives to be an instrument in the Lord's hands? Are we trying to listen to the Spirit of the Lord and trying to heed his promptings, and if we are, what actions of faith have we taken to take that "first few steps forward into the darkness to be able to see a little bit more. David A. Bednar"  It's vitally important for us to use this time on this earth to be able to listen to the spirit and it is a time to learn from previous experiences. It is a time that we should use to help the work of the Lord move forward and to help others around us better come unto Christ. I know that as we bring others to Christ, the Lord will bless us very much and he will help us know how to better help those around us and to better assist his work in our daily lives, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week and I hope that you do what you can to have a Fabtabulous Day!
I Love all of you very much! You're all amazing people!

Boring week and improvement

Hello all of you fabtabulous people!!!!!!!!
My week hasn't had too much exciting stuff going on. My companion and I are having a wonderful time together and are having a great time together. My district is a super awesome and it's a total blast, we really learn from each other and we've bonded well. It's been a fun first week and I've had a lot of fun. Not much exciting happened this week, sadly other than the project taking a great step forward.

President Fenn is going to send a letter to all the other mission presidents asking them if they would be willing to be interviewed for my project!!! I'm so happy and so grateful that we have taken at least that step forward. Now I just have to wait for the President to give us permission to contact them, but he has asked me to gather all their addresses. I mean...that's not inherently bad right??? I got the president's permission so therefore I can do it for research and project reasons.

Other than that my week was pretty dull and boring. Hopefully, next week will bring forth more excitement and more fun!

Spiritual Thought: So this weeks spiritual thought is going to be coming from Alma 42:15

15 And now, the plan of mercy could not be brought about except an atonement should be made; therefore God himself atoneth for the sins of the world, to bring about the plan of mercy, to appease the demands of justice that God might be a perfect just God, and a merciful God also.

Now, this bluntly says a lot in this one verse. The atonement is a wonderful gift that so many people don't take advantage of. We have the way to become clean, change, and to start a new...because of Jesus Christ. and there is a balance that has to be kept and will be kept because he suffered even until death so that the plan of Mercy can be made available for each and every one of us. That's what makes it possible for us to change! He suffered the demands of justice so that mercy can be shown towards all of his fellow children. That's what makes him a just god and a merciful God also, and that's what makes going through the repentance process so beautiful. I know that all men can be made pure and spotless through the grace and mercy of God. He will bless you for all of your righteous efforts and he will testify to you through the Holy Ghost that you are clean and pure. I know these things and I leave them with you, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a fabtabulous week!
I love each of you dearly and each of you is amazing people! Keep up the good work

New Companion but still the same zone

Hello all of you amazing people! I hope this week has been amazing for you.

This week has had a few surprises for me and it has been pretty good. There have been some rough times and some times where it's been hard but I've been learning how to rely more on the spirit and he has been able to comfort me and get me through and I hope that I will be able to continue to have his spirit to keep me going through the hard days. Other than that it's been a pretty good week so far.

New Companion!
So I am going to be staying in Church History: Special Projects, but I got a new companion; Elder Lassle. He's a really awesome guy and a super funny Elder! He has only spent a few days in my zone but he's already been a huge benefit to the Narrative Project and a massive help to me. He has a ton of knowledge of computers and a pretty good knowledge of the scriptures. It has allowed me to see things in a way that I haven't seen before. But we're good friends and I'm looking forward to this transfer and the adventures that this transfer will bring.

Not much else exciting has happened this week. It's been pretty boring but I'm doing what I can to make it exciting.

Spiritual Thought:
So my spiritual thought this week will be coming from Alma 12:33-34

33 But God did call on men, in the name of his Son, (this being the plan of redemption which was laid) saying: If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son;
34 Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a remission of his sins; and these shall enter into my rest.

So this scripture has brought me some comfort this past week with its a very simple message
God has called each of us to repentance and each of us to humble ourselves so that he can forgive us and allow us to feel of remission of our sins. That's all that he expects of us and that is all that he requires us to do for his spirit to be with us. Jesus Christ has already paid the price for us to be forgiven, and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to feel of his mercy and grace. He really does want all of us to return to him, but it is up to us to be able to be worthy of entering into the highest glory to be able to be clean and feel of remission of our sins. I know that through repentance that we can be made clean and that all of us can feel of remission if we but call upon him humbly. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you will have a wonderful new week and do all that you can to have the Best Day Ever!
I love all of you very much! Your prayers have been felt
