Back in the Family History Library. . . Weekday Pday is weird

Well, transfers happened and I am now back in the Family History Library now serving in Family History Library Services. I am now back to being a Librarian every day. Luckily I'm still able to continue helping the Mission History Project in any capacity that I can...so that's good. It will just be a little bit harder since I'm not gonna be able to have access to the computer much now. But I will do anything that I can to help out.

My new companion is Elder Gorman (He's from Huntington Beach, CA) So that should bring another new and neat experience. He's a pretty cool guy, and we've gotten along well before now so...should be really good for both of us.
Other than that, nothing much has happened. Kinda boring week thus far...

Spiritual Thought: This week is going to come from D&C 64:2
For verily I say unto you, I will that ye should overcome the world; wherefore I will have compassion upon you.

This one is a very simple promise that we have and a very major blessing that we are given. We must overcome the world, yes that seems like a daunting task. But we can't do it all at once...it's those small daily efforts that get us there. We must stand in Holy Places every single day and make sure that for today. Just for today, I did what I could to make everywhere I stand a Holy Place. I know that through small and simple things doth the Lord makes great things come to pass. I know that we can all overcome the world eventually. Everywhere we stand can be a Holy Place, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous Week!
You're all amazing and I love all of you very much!

Amazing week and the Bountiful Temple

Hello all of you Fabtabulous People!!!
This week has been very entertaining and a very spiritual one at that!
I've learned so much from the scriptures and so much from the War chapters in Alma...(I will get back to that part in a minute)

Monday: We happened to have the day off! So my morning was the usual and then Elder Shaw got about 10 of us and we went bowling from about 10-12. It was so much fun! I FINALLY BROKE 100 POINTS!!!!! Not by much but I got 106 in one of the three games that we played. (Mind you I did this while still limping on a mostly healed sprained ankle).
After that was all done, we had lunch and then we played "Betrayal Legacy" with some friends. It was really nice to have the day off...

The rest of the week was just normal. I went to zone and did everything that was required there and that's about it. I was able to interview Elder and Sister Gordon who is the Mission Secretary. That was a very amazing and blessed opportunity that I was given. I love those two so much. They have an amazing spirit and the spirit was so strong during the whole interview.

Other than that...nothing new.

Spiritual Thought: My spiritual thought this week is going to come from D&C 58:2

For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.

I don't know about all y'all but this scripture is very comforting to me. The fact that as we keep the commandments in this world that continue to wallow in sin and continue to get "Deeper and deeper in with the Sharks", we will be blessed for our efforts. All we must do is stay faithful during the tribulation and in times where it's hard, keep the commandments, and we shall have a greater reward in the kingdom of heaven. It's so simple, but we must pay the price in order to be disciples of Christ...and we shall have our reward for being such. I know that all of us can have this wonderful blessing in our lives. I know that all of us as we continue to do better we shall have the spirit in our lives. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week!
You're all great! Make the Most out of every moment of every day!
I love you all dearly!

New week. . . . able to walk kinda. . . .and all of the sudden busy!!!!

Hello, all of you Fabtabulous People!!!!! This week has been a crazy week kind of, so I'm gonna start and I hope that there's less than what I think that there is. Here we go!

1. I have been able to improve walking and my ankle has been improving but very slowly. I have been able to kind of hobble around and walk on it a little bit with a brace on or with it wrapped. I ice it every day but it's still healing and the swelling is still going down, but none the less it's getting there.

2. My project has been improving but it has taken a pretty big turn. We have changed the way that we are doing it because of how little time we have left. So we are changing things around a little bit. Because of such, a lot of things have changed.

I'm thinking.....that's everything but we know for sure in a few days when I remember something that I meant to put in my email.

Spiritual Thought: Alma 26:12

12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

This is one Scripture that I really like that I've read. I really hope that all of us can have a moment like this in our lives, where we can fully turn to God and turn our lives over to him and say you are my everything and through you, I have been able to do all of these mighty things. Please continue to bless me with thy spirit and allow me to continue to be an instrument in thy hands and Please allow me to get through this trial and allow me to continue forward.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful week!
Do all that you can to make the most out of every moment out of every day!
I love all of you very much!

Very boring week. . . .

Hello everyone! This week has been terribly boring for me and a little difficult seeing that my ankle has been kind of annoying but luckily I have a companion who is willing to help me and continues to be patient with me and is just overall awesome and I feel blessed to have him as a companion.

We've really been learning a lot from our scripture study and companionship study.  I go back and forth between the Book of Mormon and Jesus the Christ by James E. Talmage. (I suggest everyone read that if they haven't! It's amazing!)

We just start with one topic from the scriptures and then we go from there and by the end of it, we end up bringing in so many other topics about the Gospel that also go off of that. I really enjoy them and I feel the spirit very strongly during those conversations and those companionship studies

Training: So I've been stuck in training for 4 days and I was so bored! Everything that they were teaching during the class I already knew and I was already taught, so...I kinda was bored but I got through it and I can now get back to zone work and begin working on the Narrative  History Project again. YAY!
That's pretty much it for this week

Spiritual Thought: (Alma 9:27)

27 And behold, he cometh to redeem those who will be baptized unto repentance, through faith on his name.

Now this one obviously talks about repentance. I just love the fact that he says "Who will be..." It doesn't say that they must, or that he forced them. It is phrased as an invitation to become clean and to be redeemed through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I really think that it allows us to fully understand what Christ's mission is and the way that he works and performs his work. He didn't ever force someone to do something that they didn't want to. He always did everything as an invitation, because that's how the Father's Plan is. We have this Agency so that we can choose righteousness over wickedness and choose to become born again and be redeemed at the last day. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful week and make the most of every moment!
Love you guys so much!

Temple square is closed and 6 months left . . . .Already?

Hello, all of you Fabtabulous People back home!
2020 is here and the scary part is...I can't believe that I only have 6 months left!

Other than that I'm doing pretty good.
This week has been exciting. For new years we watched, "The Rookie" a baseball movie about chasing your dreams and making them happen. It was a pretty good movie, I enjoyed it. We couldn't stay up till midnight but we still had fun till 10.

I also did a bad...I accidentally sprained my ankle but all is well. I didn't do any serious damage and I'm doing better and treating it the best that I can.
We were playing sports in the Gym on Thursday, I landed wrong and I sprained it. It will heal soon enough, but for now, I'm wheeling around in a wheelchair. Making the most of my current situation. Nothing new to report!

Spiritual Thought: Alma 26:14-15

14 Yea, we have reason to praise him forever, for he is the Most High God, and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell.
15 Yea, they were encircled about with everlasting darkness and destruction; but behold, he has brought them into his everlasting light, yea, into everlasting salvation; and they are encircled about with the matchless bounty of his love; yea, and we have been instruments in his hands of doing this great and marvelous work.
This scripture talks about What Christ is willing to do for each of his children that are willing to Repent and willing to change. As long as we are willing to become instruments in his hands and are looking for relief from everything else around us. It's very important that we look to Christ and make him the light in our lives and make his light a sanctuary that we can live, abound, and stay in forever. When we look to him in everything, we will have that light with us and we will take that with us and we will be able to share it with others and help others in their own dark situations. I know these things to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Well, I hope that all of you have an amazing week and make the most of every moment!
I love all of you Fabtabulous people!
