Fun and excitement continues even after the holidays

This week has kind of been a roller coaster of a lot of things happening but luckily...I survived.
Kidding, it's been really fun and very enjoyable. There were a few stressful moments and some times where missing family...(Which is expected as a missionary)...but luckily with all of the friends that I have here and all of the wonderful Senior Missionaries made it the best that it possibly could've been. Nothing was planned for the Elders except for the "dinner" (It was totally lunch. We had it at 1:00) But that was the only thing that was planned, so we had to do what we can to make it interesting and fun.

But other than that, it was really nice to get back to zone. The break is nice and all, but it's nice to get back to the regular routine of things. It was a pretty slow week if I'm going to be completely honest. but it shakes things up a bit from the fast-paced world that we live in now.
Nothing else to report though

Spiritual Thought: So this week for my Spiritual Thought, I'm going to be using Alma 7:15

15 Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism.

I read this and I really felt a truth that lies within it. Along with a sense of hope that comes because of Jesus Christ and what he's done for us.
He is asking that we approach Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through prayer with a willingness to repent and give away your sins and those other trials and struggles that you struggle with. If you have a willingness to repent and to change, he will take them from you and if you will keep His commandments, you will be forgiven and you will be made clean through the blessing of the Sacrament that we are able to partake of each and every week with a willing heart and a new covenant with the Lord that we can and will change for the better. I know that we can be better and I know that we can do better. Through Jesus Christ and through faith are all things possible. I know these things to be true in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

I hope that all of you have a great week!
You're all Fabtabulous People and I love you all!

Temple Square is SO BUSY!!!

I kid you not! I have never seen this many people around temple square ever in my life! Seeing that it's going to be closing soon, it's probably why everything around Temple Square is so crazy right now.

Other than that...transfers have happened and not much changed. I have a new companion, Elder Mitchell, and a new apartment (I literally moved right next door), but I haven't switched zones. I keep forgetting that President Fenn has told me that I am going to be serving in this zone for a long time. But this transfer is a 6-week transfer so...I'm going to be in this district for a while, which I'm totally looking forward to that.

Zone work is pretty slow as usual, not much excitement happening but...such is mission life up here in the Great polluted place of Salt Lake City. We try to make it as exciting as possible because...Life isn't the same when you don't have at least a little bit of excitement. I've been using that to help me get through day to day and to get through the hard times. It has been helping with staying happy and not letting the adversary get into my head. Sometimes it does get more difficult but relying on the Lord and the Savior to help me pull through those times. For the most part, I'm doing good...just hoping things only get better from here.

Spiritual Thought: So my spiritual Thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 44:4

Now ye see that this is the true faith of God; yea, ye see that God will support, and keep, and preserve us, so long as we are faithful unto him, and unto our faith, and our religion; and never will the Lord suffer that we shall be destroyed except we should fall into transgression and deny our faith.

So I'm gonna change a few things about this to better relate to us. "and never will the Lord suffer that we shall be alone in times of tribulation" Now when I change that up it really hits me in the heart and is very spiritual for me. Because we all have days where we just feel alone and just feel like our efforts aren't meaningful. But to the Lord, they are all he expects of us. He expects that we do our best every day to become better Disciples of Christ. We must only do our best and that is all he requires of us. I know these things to be true and I know that our efforts are recognized by the Lord every day. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous Week and a Merry Christmas!
I love all of you!

The work moves on and so do the holidays

Hello, all of you Fabtabulous people. Life has kind of been interesting up here. It's been a little difficult especially with the holidays coming closer, but with the help of a lot of my companions and my friends that I have out here, it's been bearable and I've been only pressing forward.

My projects are kind of slow going, but we're still making progress none the less. We have a meeting with President Fenn on Monday and hopefully, that will go well and that we will be able to progress forward in the way that we are needing to. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the best and I'm hoping that we will get the info that we need along with the permissions to finish up this project. It's just really stressful being the head of this project and worrying about everything all at once. I'm really working on that and trying to focus on one thing at a time. I've been really praying and asking the Lord to have the strength, focus, and ability to finish this project and the ability to make this project happen with the help of everyone around me.
I have been able to feel the Lord's assistance in my life and I have been able to really see his hand in my life and I have been able to have that strength to get through it so far. I just have to continue forward for just a little bit longer and then it should be a walk in the park from there

Other news; Transfer's is on Tuesday and that doesn't help my situation. I really don't think that I'm going to move or go anywhere just because I'm the project head and I will be staying with this project until it's done. Other than that I'm pretty boring.

Spiritual Thought: So my Spiritual Thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 43:45 (vs. 41-45)

45 Nevertheless, the Nephites were inspired by a better cause, for they were not fighting for monarchy nor power but they were fighting for their homes and their liberties, their wives and their children, and their all, yea, for their rites of worship and their church.

This really hit me hard when I read this scripture study this week. It really made me reflect on my life and made me ask the question to myself..."Am I being inspired by a better cause?" ya know..."What is my better cause and am I living worthy of the spirit to help me recognize a better cause?" This is a question that has multiple right answers, but are we...as members of the church, living and being inspired by that better cause and am I living in line with the teachings of the prophets and the scriptures. Living this principle requires that we have the Spirit of the Lord with us in our everyday lives and requires that we live that higher standard that the Lord has put before us. We need to stick it out in the hard times and we need to look upon past mistakes and learn from those experiences that we've had. Those several Trials and Afflictions that we have in our lives are to test our faith and to help us focus more on "The Better Cause." They help us build each other up and to help strengthen our faith in these trying and hard times of conflicting opinions. Let us be inspired and be focused on the "Better Cause" each day and allow us to better walk in the steps of the Savior. Let us strive each and every day to continue forward and to continue doing our best to be better and to change towards Perfection. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Well, that's it for me!
You're all Fabtabulous people!
I love all of you so very much! Do what you can to have the Best Day Ever every day!

Good week with slow moving progress

HELLO, ALL OF YOU FABTABULOUS PEOPLE!!!!!!

This week has been pretty good. My project hasn't moved or gone forward at all...which is kind of annoying, but it's getting there. So since that's been going nowhere I've been helping other people with their projects. The air up here as been terrible and it's been killing my lungs...luckily it hasn't stuck around too long and it's clearing up each day.

I've had some pretty spiritual experiences this week that have helped me continue going forward and have strengthened my faith. I know that the power of prayer is real! One day I was not doing well and I was really struggling, but I poured my heart out to God and Sincerely asked for help and this overpowering feeling of peace come over me and this warm feeling that put all my worries to rest and really just allowed me to continue on and it has really helped me since then. I'm just so thankful, for the blessings that the Lord has blessed me with and the opportunity to continue to grow and receive his guidance.

33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed.
34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.
35 For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.

I read this during my study just a few days ago and this really stood out to me. It really helped me understand the importance of being fully clean and always be repentant. If we are going through life and doing our best to repent every day, and we aren't doing our best to keep the spirit with us every day, by repenting daily, then we aren't using the marvelous gift that has been put before us. We aren't allowing Christ into our lives. The Lord wants us to be clean so that we can have the spirit with us in our lives constantly, but we have to allow the Lord to do his work within us. We can only do that, by repenting every day and allowing the Holy Ghost into our lives.
That probably went in 30 different places but the principle is still there.

Well, that's my week everyone!
I love you all and I hope that all of you have an amazing week as well!
Stay Awesome!

Thanksgiving week and the 4 day break

Hello everyone! This week has been kind of a long one, to be honest. We only had zone three days out of the week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday..and we had Thursday, Friday off. Of course, today is my P-Day, so we have 4 days in a row off.

Zone was the same old boring stuff as normal, but the weekend that we've had has been really fun! My companion has a ton of games and Elder Shaw got a ton of people and just made the most of it!

Thanksgiving was once again very hard, but with the help of all the friends that I have out here, it made it easier for me and made the time go by faster! All the missionaries who didn't go traveling out to their families stayed back with us and enjoyed Thanksgiving with us. Everyone gathered at the Stake Center and we had thanksgiving...for lunch at 1:00. Which kinda made it a little weird, especially not having it in the middle of the day but Hey, it was still really good none the less. Other than that and all the games that we played not much was terribly exciting! We saw the lights on Temple Square on Friday and that was really spectacular! I always enjoy seeing the wonderful work, time, and effort that the workers put into this special time of year. It really welcomes the Spirit into my day. I don't know about all of you but that's what it does for me!. Other than that...I don't have much else.

Spiritual Thought: So my spiritual thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 29:9-10

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
10 And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember what the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me.
This scripture I was reading in my personal study just yesterday and I read this chapter and it really strengthened my faith. This is the story of Alma and what his greatest desire is to bring at least one soul unto true repentance. I was like WOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It helped me know that the one person that we can truly bring unto true repentance is ourselves! If we can bring ourselves unto repentance then we can experience that extreme Joy in our own lives and we can truly become a better instrument in the hands of the Lord! I know we can and I know that it's possible that we can do this because the Lord's Merciful arm is always outstretched towards us and through his grace and mercy all things are possible! I know this to be true in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Well all of you Fabtabulous people, I hope that you have a Fabtabulous week and try to have the Best Day Ever!
I love all of you! You're all amazing!

Nothing new but doing good

Hello, all of you amazing fabulous people! I hope that this past week has been a good one for you and I hope that everything is going well. This week has been boring once again...but luckily we were able to make it at least a little bit exciting!

Story 1: As a district...we got really bored one night! So Elder Foxworth, a member of my district, found a scripture and decided to narrate the scripture to some music. The video happens to be take #2 but the first time he did it I didn't have my camera ready and we tried to remake it. (Sorry!!!!! The second time is never as good as the first time)

Story 2: So...My mother sent me a little friend and my companion and I just look for places to put him that look funny and take a picture. I thought it was kinda funny, but I may start doing it as a joke to try to catch my companion off guard or something like that....we'll see

But other than that there really isn't much left to report!

Spiritual Thought: My spiritual thought this week is going to be from Moroni 7:6.

For behold, God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or prayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing.

Now...this one I really love! This one really teaches everyone to try to do all things with the spirit of the Lord with them, or else it's not going to be worth anything and it will all be in vain. I know it says "with real intent" but in reality, if we strive to do it with real intent, we will be doing it with the spirit of the Lord. If we strive to do it with his spirit, he will bless us and we will be in a better position to receive revelation from him. I know this to be true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Well, I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week!
You're all amazing and Fabtabulous
Love you all

Year Mark. . . . . . Already?

I'VE BEEN OUT ON MY MISSION FOR A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's kinda weird when I think about it...anyways!
Hello, all of you amazing people who are in you many various different places wherever that may be. I hope that your past week was amazing and I hope that things have been good!

This week has been a massive blessing to me and it has been so much fun! I mean, zone work isn't the greatest. Doing the same thing, day in and day out isn't always the most fun but as I've learned to rely on God and he has been able to teach me things that have taken me way too long to learn. Thankfully the Lord has been patient with me and has used this part of my mission to teach me a few things but I haven't learned everything! He has taught me some more about the Doctrine of the Book of Mormon even more, and through that, I have been able to learn some very valuable lessons from my study and from other teaching moments that I'm blessed with while on my mission!

The relationship with my companion and it is really good! We've bonded well and have a lot of sharing interests.  We take a lot of time and just talk, which allows us to be able to learn from each other in a lot of ways. Fingers crossed about transfers keeping us together!

My Project has no new updates from last week, we're still waiting for President Fenn to write a letter to send out to each individual Mission President who has served in my mission while the Elders have served.
The Mission Presidents that we are trying to contact are:
1. President Paramore
2. President Kofford
3. President Simmons
4. President Peterson
5. President Workman &
6. President Tate
Those are the other mission presidents that we are trying to contact, (President is trying) Other than that we have to wait till then! With that, there's not much else to talk about

Spiritual Thought:

My Spiritual Thought this week is going to be coming from Alma 19:35-36
35 And it came to pass that there were many that did believe in their words; and as many as did believe were baptized, and they became a righteous people, and they did establish a church among them.
36 And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name.

I read this passage recently and the thought came to mind that...The Lord is always willing to extend his arm of mercy towards us, but there's one question that we need to ask ourselves. What are we doing to make sure that "The Work of the Lord" has been commenced and is continuing to progress? What are we doing in our daily lives to be an instrument in the Lord's hands? Are we trying to listen to the Spirit of the Lord and trying to heed his promptings, and if we are, what actions of faith have we taken to take that "first few steps forward into the darkness to be able to see a little bit more. David A. Bednar"  It's vitally important for us to use this time on this earth to be able to listen to the spirit and it is a time to learn from previous experiences. It is a time that we should use to help the work of the Lord move forward and to help others around us better come unto Christ. I know that as we bring others to Christ, the Lord will bless us very much and he will help us know how to better help those around us and to better assist his work in our daily lives, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a Fabtabulous week and I hope that you do what you can to have a Fabtabulous Day!
I Love all of you very much! You're all amazing people!

Boring week and improvement

Hello all of you fabtabulous people!!!!!!!!
My week hasn't had too much exciting stuff going on. My companion and I are having a wonderful time together and are having a great time together. My district is a super awesome and it's a total blast, we really learn from each other and we've bonded well. It's been a fun first week and I've had a lot of fun. Not much exciting happened this week, sadly other than the project taking a great step forward.

President Fenn is going to send a letter to all the other mission presidents asking them if they would be willing to be interviewed for my project!!! I'm so happy and so grateful that we have taken at least that step forward. Now I just have to wait for the President to give us permission to contact them, but he has asked me to gather all their addresses. I mean...that's not inherently bad right??? I got the president's permission so therefore I can do it for research and project reasons.

Other than that my week was pretty dull and boring. Hopefully, next week will bring forth more excitement and more fun!

Spiritual Thought: So this weeks spiritual thought is going to be coming from Alma 42:15

15 And now, the plan of mercy could not be brought about except an atonement should be made; therefore God himself atoneth for the sins of the world, to bring about the plan of mercy, to appease the demands of justice that God might be a perfect just God, and a merciful God also.

Now, this bluntly says a lot in this one verse. The atonement is a wonderful gift that so many people don't take advantage of. We have the way to become clean, change, and to start a new...because of Jesus Christ. and there is a balance that has to be kept and will be kept because he suffered even until death so that the plan of Mercy can be made available for each and every one of us. That's what makes it possible for us to change! He suffered the demands of justice so that mercy can be shown towards all of his fellow children. That's what makes him a just god and a merciful God also, and that's what makes going through the repentance process so beautiful. I know that all men can be made pure and spotless through the grace and mercy of God. He will bless you for all of your righteous efforts and he will testify to you through the Holy Ghost that you are clean and pure. I know these things and I leave them with you, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you have a fabtabulous week!
I love each of you dearly and each of you is amazing people! Keep up the good work

New Companion but still the same zone

Hello all of you amazing people! I hope this week has been amazing for you.

This week has had a few surprises for me and it has been pretty good. There have been some rough times and some times where it's been hard but I've been learning how to rely more on the spirit and he has been able to comfort me and get me through and I hope that I will be able to continue to have his spirit to keep me going through the hard days. Other than that it's been a pretty good week so far.

New Companion!
So I am going to be staying in Church History: Special Projects, but I got a new companion; Elder Lassle. He's a really awesome guy and a super funny Elder! He has only spent a few days in my zone but he's already been a huge benefit to the Narrative Project and a massive help to me. He has a ton of knowledge of computers and a pretty good knowledge of the scriptures. It has allowed me to see things in a way that I haven't seen before. But we're good friends and I'm looking forward to this transfer and the adventures that this transfer will bring.

Not much else exciting has happened this week. It's been pretty boring but I'm doing what I can to make it exciting.

Spiritual Thought:
So my spiritual thought this week will be coming from Alma 12:33-34

33 But God did call on men, in the name of his Son, (this being the plan of redemption which was laid) saying: If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son;
34 Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a remission of his sins; and these shall enter into my rest.

So this scripture has brought me some comfort this past week with its a very simple message
God has called each of us to repentance and each of us to humble ourselves so that he can forgive us and allow us to feel of remission of our sins. That's all that he expects of us and that is all that he requires us to do for his spirit to be with us. Jesus Christ has already paid the price for us to be forgiven, and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to feel of his mercy and grace. He really does want all of us to return to him, but it is up to us to be able to be worthy of entering into the highest glory to be able to be clean and feel of remission of our sins. I know that through repentance that we can be made clean and that all of us can feel of remission if we but call upon him humbly. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope that all of you will have a wonderful new week and do all that you can to have the Best Day Ever!
I love all of you very much! Your prayers have been felt

Amazing week and transfers are right around the corner

Hello all of you amazing people! This has been a really good week for me and I can't tell you how much of a relief it has been for me. I've been taught so much and I've been really blessed by the Lord. I'm so thankful for his loving kindness and for all the support that he has shown me and the wonderful support that he has given me. I also thank all of you back home for all the prayers and the love that you have also expressed toward me I can not thank you enough. I have really felt all of it this week, and I'm also thankful for the opportunity that I was given to go to the temple and feel of God's Grace and of the arms of his Grace and Mercy that you feel when going into such a sacred place as that.

This week was actually quite uneventful....SORRY!!! I wish that I had more to report on but nothing super exciting happened this week.

We had LeGrand R. Curtis, which is the church historian for the whole church, meet with the entire mission and talked to us about the power of the Book of Mormon and the wonderful blessings that it brings from reading it's pages. I personally pulled a lot from it and I really felt the spirit. But other than that...not much else happened. OOps!!!!!!!!! I almost forgot about yesterday

Yesterday we helped the humanitarian center here in Salt Lake City put together 20,000 meals to deliver to hungry families around places that weren't specified. But we had all of us Elders doing that last night and I will say that it was pretty fun! We all had a competition to see which team could put together 4 boxes the fastest. Which was fun to get a little motivation and some friendly competition. But that was pretty fun and very enjoyable to provide a service to all of those families that are in need.

Spiritual Thought: So this week I'm going to be pulling from Alma 5:21
21 I say unto you, ye will know at that day that ye cannot be saved for there can no man be saved except his garments are washed white; yea, his garments must be purified until they are cleansed from all stain, through the blood of him of whom it has been spoken by our fathers, who should come to redeem his people from their sins.

So there are a few things that I get from this scripture but I'm only going to go over one of the things that I think is important to cover.

So it's the importance of going through the Repentance Process. The world wants you to think that you can just take the sacrament each week and then you will be fine, without thinking about it or even trying to change at all...NOT TRUE! In order to be able to feel repentant and feel of remission of your sins...you must pivot away from it 100% and proceed forward with a desire to change. Knowing that you did something wrong, acknowledging it, and praying to receive strength to change and asking for forgiveness every single day. Then using the power and strength that he gives you to stop, repent, and become clean.
That is one of the greatest gifts that he has given to us. Because of His sacrifice, we are able to be made clean through the mercy and grace of God. Then we can be purified and press forward doing our very best to stand pure at the judgment bar of God. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

You are all Fabtabulous people!
I love all of you amazing people so much! Do what you can each day to have an amazingly Fabtabulous Day!

Great Week, FIRE!!!! But no one's dead. . . . .Luckily!

Well, another week in October has come and gone and it's another great week...with some "Natural Disasters" in our apartment as well (We may or may not have set one of our burners on fire...oops! Don't freak out Grandma.....everyone's ok, and no one/nothing is hurt, broken, and everything is fine) But other than that it's been a pretty good week, We haven't been able to do much progress because we've found literally all of the information off of the internet about all of our chapters and we're currently at a standstill on our project, so we can't really do much going forward until we are able to personally interview them. Which is kind of irritating because my project can't really go anywhere, so I'm working on other things to pass the time and working on other projects that we have in the zone.

Its' also kind of been a little boring lately with the lack of stuff to do. So all of us in zone have been taking the liberty and keeping ourselves entertained to say the least. When you get 4 close friends in the same workplace, really close together, you get some interesting experiences and some interesting "Activities" that come about. But it's been really fun and I've quite enjoyed it. I've been doing my best to keep myself busy and keep the work of the Lord pressing forward.
I've definitely learned that enduring to the end is what it all rolls down to. No, it's not the easiest thing to do in the world but as you continue pushing through those days...it will get easier and there is a massive difference. I have definitely felt the Lord's hand in my life and it's made a difference in my life and he has definitely helped me through those days where it feels like there isn't going to be any end. IF we push forward through those days and we keep fighting to make it to the light at the end of the tunnel it will totally make a massive difference in our Spirituality and our dedication to the Lord. The Lord constantly blesses those who are steadfast in the faith and do all that they can to stand in holy places and be not moved. He will also allow us to be able to communicate with the Holy Ghost a lot more and helping us be more sensitive to its promptings. If we have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion in our lives (Or strive to have it with us all the time) we will know better his plan for us and we will better know how to help and assist those around us in ways that we are unknowledgeable of if we didn't have the Holy Spirit with us. I know this to be true and I know that if we follow the teachings taught in the Book of Mormon we will better know his plan for us and I know that we will be able to find a way to accomplish the Holy Purposes of the Lord
Spiritual Thought: Now for today I'm going to be coming from Mosiah 4: 10-12
10 And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them.
11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.

Now I know that several things can be taught from this scripture. But one of the main messages that I get from these scriptures is the importance of Repentance and retaining a Remission of Our Sins.

Now, this states that as soon as we receive a remission of our sins, through the Grace of God. But the importance lies in the very first verse. "...Ye MUST repent of your sins AND FORSAKE THEM," We can repent all the day long every single day...but until we forsake the sin and completely turn away from it and never look back upon it, praying for strength every day to withstand the temptations of the Adversary, then we can fully be repentant. Only then can we truly feel a remission of our sins. we Must Turn away and covenant while partaking of the sacrament each week, to never do it again...and strive to do better. Which is all that we can do. Which is what my mission president teaches. "If you can look back upon your month and see the improvement that you have made then you are on the right path whether it be on the path of repentance or on the covenant path. Both have the same end goal in mind and both require a focused and a disciplined mind to achieve. -President Jerry D. Fenn." I know that through the Lord that this can be possible and I know that we can all achieve this if we ask for it. I say these thing s in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Well I hope that all of you can have a Fabtabulous week and do all that you can to stay amazing!!!

Amazing Week!

Hello, you Fabtabulous people back home!
It's getting a little cold up here but personally, it feels nice while everyone else up here is freezing. It's kinda funny but I really want the snow to come quicker. So many Elders in this mission think that the Cold is pure Satan, and they think that I'm Ice Man from X-Men or something. It's also kind of weird that they think it's way too cold when it hasn't even gotten to winter yet. It's been a pretty good week, I can say without a doubt that it's been a better week than last week. I thank all of you for your prayers! They have definitely been felt and have helped me very much, and I have been doing much better than last week. So I thank you all very much once again and I hope that I can take that strength and use it for this next week as well to make this week as amazing as the week that stands ahead of me.

I had the privilege to speak with Sister Linda Halverson this past week. She is the Wife of a previous Mission President. I interviewed her for my project that I'm working on. She provided a ton of valuable information that was very much needed. I was blessed to have the opportunity to perform that interview. She provided much-needed help that I was needing for quite some time and I will say, that it was one of the highlights of my week.

Spiritual Thought: This week it's going to come from 2 Nephi 25:23

23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.

Now I know a lot of you have probably heard this verse several times but hear me out. The doctrine in this verse is very important and is very important

Being Repentant is very vital to God's plan and it's very important for us to be clean of all our sins and to do what we can to be clean at all times. Which is why taking the Sacrament each week is so important.  But this verse teaches that we must put forth our best efforts each and every day. When we have expended all of our efforts, the Lord will make up the difference and will bridge the gap for us, He will bridge the gap for us so that we can return to live with him. That only happens WHEN we do all that we can do and when we can do no more.

I love all of you very much and you're all Fabtabulous people
Have an amazing week!
